Rising UFC fighter ended up in an Uber to Jon Jones’ mansion after-party
Rising unbeaten UFC featherweight Tommy McMillen found himself in an unexpected evening with former two-division heavyweight champion Jon Jones after a chance meeting at a Los Angeles nightclub. McMillen, known for his entertaining fights and polarizing persona, recounted the story on his coach Tim Welch's podcast.
McMillen was seated next to Jones at a club when Young LA, an apparel brand owned by mutual acquaintances, introduced the two fighters. The encounter led to an invitation to join Jones at a strip club, and later, McMillen shared an Uber with Jones to an after-party at a Beverly Hills mansion. "I went to the club and he [Jones] was there," McMillen explained. "We had tables right next to each other. Young LA invited me over and said, 'Let's introduce you to Bones.' I went over there, talked to him. He was like, 'We're going to the strip club, you want to come?' And I was like, 'Hell yeah!' Then we were in an Uber together, and he took me to this sick after-party at a mansion in Beverly Hills."
McMillen's profile continues to rise thanks to his entertaining fighting style and bonus-winning performances. Jones, who held heavyweight and light heavyweight titles, relinquished his belt upon retiring last year but has repeatedly hinted at a potential return to competition.
