UFC Abu Dhabi weigh-in results: Magomed Ankalaev makes Octagon return
All fighters successfully made weight at the UFC Abu Dhabi weigh-ins, with the event's 13-bout card proceeding without complications ahead of Saturday's action on Paramount+.
Light heavyweight headliners Magomed Ankalaev and Bogdan Guskov both weighed 205.5 pounds for their five-round main event. Ankalaev (20-2-1, 1 NC) returns to competition following a rapid 80-second TKO loss to Alex Pereira in his previous outing, when he fell short in his bid to reclaim the light heavyweight title he once held. Prior to that setback, the Russian had compiled an impressive resume, remaining undefeated since 2018 with victories over Pereira (before the rematch), Aleksandar Rakic, and Anthony Smith among others.
Guskov (18-3-1), age 33, steps into the UFC main event spotlight for the first time. The challenger recently drew with Jan Blachowicz via majority decision but had won four consecutive fights before that result, including knockout victories over Nikita Krylov, Ryan Spann, and Zac Pauga.
