‘TUF’ winner to end 16-year Octagon run at UFC 332

Court McGee, the 2010 winner of "The Ultimate Fighter," has announced that his upcoming bout at UFC 332 on October 3 in Salt Lake City will mark the final fight of his 16-year UFC career. The 41-year-old "Crusher" made the announcement via Instagram video, noting that he signed his last contract—the final fight of a four-fight deal—and will retire after the event. His opponent for the retirement bout has not yet been announced.

McGee's tenure in the UFC has spanned since his TUF Season 11 victory over Kris McCray in 2010, resulting in 28 prior Octagon bouts and the upcoming 29th. The welterweight has compiled a 22-14 record overall and has enjoyed particular success in his home state of Utah, posting a 10-1 mark there and going 2-0 in UFC competition within Utah. His notable victories include wins over Josh Neer, Robert Whittaker, and Tim Means.

McGee had previously planned to retire before undergoing neck surgery but chose to return and renegotiate his contract. The Salt Lake City event will provide a fitting homecoming for his final appearance inside the Octagon as he closes a career that began more than a decade and a half ago.
