Joe Pyfer dominates Luke Rockhold at RAF 13

Joe Pyfer dominated former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold in a preliminary wrestling match at RAF 13 in Miami. Known for his powerful striking in the UFC, Pyfer translated that physicality to the mat, quickly overwhelming Rockhold with relentless takedowns and control sequences. Rockhold, who had previously competed in RAF and trained specifically for this bout, found himself unable to defend against Pyfer's strength and technical wrestling.
Pyfer systematized his attack around body locks, using them to consistently score takedowns. Although Rockhold mounted a few force-outs and attempted a double-leg shot, he could not generate enough offense to keep pace with the younger, more athletic Pyfer. By match's end, Pyfer had built an insurmountable lead and forced Rockhold out multiple times to secure the technical fall victory. Rockhold drops to 0-2 in RAF after suffering a previous loss to Covington in his RAF debut.
