Jon Jones’ latest Dana White comments could change how fans view his UFC future

Jon Jones has signalled a willingness to move past recent tensions with UFC president Dana White, saying the two can continue doing business together despite their personal differences. The former two-division champion and White clashed after Jones vacated his heavyweight title rather than face interim champion Tom Aspinall, then campaigned publicly for a spot on the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House—a bid White rejected, fuelling Jones's frustration and public calls for his release.

The relationship has since thawed. Jones appeared at UFC 329 to corner debutant Gable Steveson and was photographed with White, whom he now calls a "homie." In an interview with Ring Magazine, Jones emphasized that bygones can be bygones when money is on the table. "In order to do big business, you can't hold grudges," Jones said. "You have to be able to work with people that you don't love. I've made Dana millions of dollars over the years, and he's made me millions of dollars over the years."

Jones acknowledged that while he likely won't be invited to White's house for Christmas, he respects the UFC CEO for transforming his career and sees them as lifers in business together. The 28-1 fighter confirmed he remains under UFC contract, is active in the drug testing pool, and has not ruled out a return to the promotion. The shift in tone suggests that financial incentive may eventually override personal friction between the two parties.
