First UFC 334 fight revealed for Madison Square Garden card
The UFC's annual Madison Square Garden card continues to take shape with the announcement of a lightweight bout between Nazim Sadykhov and Jefferson Nascimento at UFC 334 on November 14. Sadykhov revealed the booking via Instagram, marking a second appearance for both fighters on the same card in 2024.
Nascimento (13-1), a former LFA lightweight champion, made his UFC debut at welterweight in June at UFC Baku against fellow debutant Tahir Abdullayev. The bout drew boos for a cautious opening two rounds before an injury in the third prompted a controversial referee stoppage by Jim Perdios. Nascimento now returns to his natural lightweight division seeking his first Octagon victory.
Sadykhov (11-3-1) competed on the same Baku card and suffered a dramatic first-round knockout loss to Matheus Camilo despite being a -250 favorite. The stoppage by referee Rich Mitchell was disputed, extending Sadykhov's losing streak to two following a December defeat to Fares Ziam. His UFC record stands at 4-2-1. The November matchup pits two fighters seeking redemption after recent setbacks and controversial officiating in Azerbaijan.
