Daniel Cormier denies Jon Jones’ claims of amicable exchanges off-camera

Daniel Cormier flatly rejected Jon Jones' claim that the two rivals privately buried the hatchet during the filming of a reality series in Thailand. Jones had told ALF Global that Cormier admitted their rivalry was too lucrative for them to become public friends, even if no genuine animosity remained behind the scenes.

Cormier disputed the account entirely on his YouTube channel. "That didn't happen," he said. "We did not have that conversation. No. He's just my enemy all the time. It just is what it is. It's OK. As I have told you before, you can go to bed at night with an enemy. You don't need the happy fairy tale ending."

The UFC Hall of Famer acknowledged that their rivalry generated substantial paydays for both men but insisted the hostility was never manufactured for financial gain. While Cormier conceded that time has eased the intensity—to the point where they can occupy the same room without immediate conflict—he maintained too much history exists between them for friendship to develop.

Cormier also questioned why Jones continues to revisit their feud. "Generally, when you get older, you start to dislike people more," Cormier added. "Jon Jones, I do still hate you and I always will."
