PFL Brussels weigh-in results: Ugly brawl ensues during ceremonials

The Professional Fighters League's weigh-ins for the Brussels event on Friday proceeded largely without incident, though a brawl erupted during the ceremonial faceoffs between Khamzat Abaev and Luca Poclit, both competing at welterweight.

Headlining the Belgian card is a welterweight main event between MMA veteran Benson Henderson and undefeated rising prospect Patrick Habirora. Henderson (30–12), now 42 years old, makes his PFL debut after nearly three years away from competition; his last outing was a 2023 loss to Usman Nurmagomedov. The former Bellator, UFC, and WEC champion weighed 171 pounds. Habirora (8–0), the 25-year-old "Belgian Bomber," comes in at 170.9 pounds following a strong run through PFL Europe that included a brutal knockout of Kevin Jousset. Seven of his eight career wins have been finishes.

The card underwent one adjustment: Movsar Ibragimov will now face Shane Campbell in a 140-pound catchweight bout instead of his originally scheduled bantamweight fight with Youssouf Binate. All other fighters made their contracted weights.

PFL Brussels airs Saturday, May 23 on ESPN+, with the main card starting at 3 p.m. ET and the early card at 12:30 p.m. ET. The main event between Henderson and Habirora will kick off at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
