Caio Borralho says Khamzat Chimaev doesn't deserve UFC title shot
Caio Borralho, the middleweight contender eyeing a November or December comeback from a rib injury, has weighed in on the UFC title picture at 185 pounds. The Brazilian believes he needs one or two more wins before earning a championship shot, and says he's ready to face contenders like Joe Pyfer or Brendan Allen next. However, Borralho is not convinced that former champion Khamzat Chimaev deserves an immediate title opportunity given his recent loss. Instead, "The Natural" backs Nassourdine Imavov—the only fighter to beat him in the UFC—as the rightful next challenger to champion Sean Strickland. Borralho noted that Imavov has already faced Strickland before and has earned his shot through proven performance, making him a more deserving candidate than Chimaev at this stage of the title race.
