Glover Teixeira has weighed in on a potential showdown between Alex Pereira and Josh Hokit, offering a blunt prediction about how the contest would unfold inside the UFC Octagon.

Speaking shortly after defeating Mauricio "Shogun" Rua by unanimous decision in an eight-round boxing match at Spaten Fight Night 3 in São Paulo, the former two-division UFC champion called for Pereira and Hokit to settle their escalating rivalry. The bad blood between the Brazilian striker and the polarizing American heavyweight intensified at UFC Freedom 250, when Hokit made crude remarks during the pre-fight press conference. Hokit further fueled the rivalry by calling out Pereira during his post-fight interview following a finish of Derrick Lewis.

When asked about a potential Pereira versus Hokit matchup, Teixeira was direct in his assessment. "I would love to see him against Hokit," Teixeira told journalist Laerte Viana. "I think this guy speaks a lot of bullshit and I believe 'Poatan' would knock him out in the first round." Teixeira indicated that Pereira is currently training and waiting for his next assignment, suggesting the Brazilian former champ remains ready and interested in the fight.
