Dillon Danis out; Mike Perry gets replacement opponent on 48 hours’ notice

Dillon Danis has withdrawn from his scheduled fight against Mike Perry just 48 hours before the event, forcing Perry to accept a last-minute replacement opponent. At a pre-fight press conference Thursday, Perry announced that Danis had pulled out and that UFC and MVP MMA veteran Brandon Jenkins would step in to headline the Dual Arena card Saturday on pay-per-view. Jenkins was traveling immediately to make the Saturday weigh-in and fight that evening. Perry expressed frustration with the withdrawal, questioning Danis's commitment. This is not Danis's first fight cancellation; he previously backed out of two separate boxing matches against KSI. Though Danis has been more active recently in wrestling matches against Colby Covington and Khamzat Chimaev under the RAF banner, his MMA absence has extended since his August 2025 victory over Warren Spencer in Misfits. Jenkins, who most recently defeated Chris Avila on an MVP MMA card in California in May, accepted the short-notice opportunity. The Dual Arena card also features UFC veteran Jimi Manuwa and Phil Rowe in separate boxing matchups.
