Jiri Prochazka has pushed back against fight rumors circulating on social media, insisting that no bout is officially locked in. The former UFC light heavyweight champion posted a statement on Instagram on Sunday clarifying that while he is actively working on his next matchup, nothing has been confirmed yet.

Prochazka's last outing came in April at UFC 327, where he suffered a shocking knockout loss to Carlos Ulberg in a bout he appeared to be winning before Ulberg landed a devastating punch to capture the vacant light heavyweight title. Though Ulberg has since suffered a torn ACL that has sidelined him from competition, Prochazka is expected to return to action sooner.

Rumors had circulated online suggesting a potential matchup between Prochazka and Paulo Costa, the former middleweight contender who recently moved up to light heavyweight and scored an impressive knockout victory over Azamat Murzakanov at UFC 327. However, Prochazka's statement makes clear that such reports are premature.

In his Instagram post, Prochazka emphasized his desire for thorough preparation and a return to fundamentals. "Fight is not confirmed yet, still working on that," he wrote, urging followers not to believe "every bullshit on internet." With the UFC schedule still taking shape for the remainder of 2026, Prochazka appears focused on securing the right opportunity rather than rushing into a hastily arranged bout. UFC 332 on October 3 in Salt Lake City, which still needs headline bouts, could be a potential landing spot for the Czech fighter.
