Raul Rosas Jr. vs. Raoni Barcelos headlines UFC Vegas 121

Rising bantamweight prospect Raul Rosas Jr. will headline UFC Vegas 121 on September 21 at Meta Apex in Las Vegas, facing veteran Raoni Barcelos in his first UFC main event.
At just 21 years old, Rosas has already become one of the most prominent young talents on the UFC roster. He earned his contract through Dana White's Contender Series in 2022 at age 17, making him the youngest fighter ever signed to the promotion. He then set another record by becoming the youngest UFC fighter to record a victory when he submitted Jay Perrin in his debut. After suffering a setback against Christian Rodriguez, Rosas has since rebounded impressively with five consecutive wins, capped by a unanimous decision over Rob Font at UFC 326 in March.
Barcelose (22-5), who is eighteen years Rosas' senior, brings extensive experience and recent success to the matchup. The 39-year-old is riding a five-fight winning streak that includes notable victories over Montel Jackson, Ricky Simon, Cody Garbrandt, and Payton Talbott. Barcelos currently ranks inside the top 15 of both the UFC's Meta and media bantamweight rankings.
This marks the first main event headlining opportunity for both competitors. The bout represents a significant step up in profile for Rosas as he continues his rapid ascent through the bantamweight division, while Barcelos seeks to maintain momentum against one of the sport's most promising young talents.
