Anthony Wint wants to give Sean Sharaf another chance to silence doubters: ‘I think I’m better than him’

Anthony Wint remains undefeated after a stunning 23-second knockout victory over Lucas Armand at UFC 332, and he's already looking toward his next challenge—Sean Sharaf, the heavyweight who shocked the MMA world with his upset win over blue-chip prospect Gable Steveson at UFC 331.
In his post-fight interview, Wint called for a matchup with Sharaf and elaborated on the callout to reporters. Despite the public nature of the challenge, Wint stressed that there is no animosity between the two fighters. In fact, Sharaf gave Wint a ride from the UFC Performance Institute to his hotel during a previous visit, and the pair had a friendly conversation about Sharaf's journey in the sport. Wint sees the fight as an opportunity for both men: a chance for himself to prove he belongs among the elite heavyweights and a platform for Sharaf to silence further doubters. "I think I'm better than him and I think a lot of people would agree with me," Wint said, while acknowledging Sharaf's power and skill.
Wint expressed interest in fighting on the UFC 334 card on November 14 in New York, the year's biggest event. He also discussed the possibility of crossing paths with Josh Hokit, another heavyweight making a meteoric rise and scheduled to headline that card against Ciryl Gane for the heavyweight title. Though Wint has repeatedly mentioned Hokit's name, he made clear he harbors no ill will toward him, respecting his ascent while declining to engage in any heated verbal exchanges at this stage. Wint acknowledged that comparisons between himself and Hokit—along with earlier comparisons to Gable Steveson—are inevitable given their shared football backgrounds, but he prefers to focus on his own climb through the heavyweight ranks.
