UFC Abu Dhabi results: Magomed Zaynukov stays undefeated in impressive UFC debut

Magomed Zaynukov delivered an impressive UFC debut at Abu Dhabi, earning a unanimous decision victory over fellow debutant Damian Rzepecki and remaining undefeated at 9-0.
The Team Nurmagomedov prospect entered the octagon with significant hype following his standout Dana White Contender Series performance last October, as well as his close association with UFC legends Khabib Nurmagomedov and Islam Makhachev. Zaynukov controlled the action from start to finish, consistently stuffing Rzepecki's wrestling attempts and connecting with crisp strikes in open space. He seized control in the second round, opening a cut on Rzepecki's face with a stiff elbow in the clinch.
Although Zaynukov's output decreased in the third round, his superior striking and effective clinch work proved decisive. All three judges scored the bout 30-27 in his favor. An accidental eye poke in Round 1 briefly interrupted the action, but referee Marc Goddard issued only a warning and Rzepecki continued without issue.
In his post-fight remarks, Zaynukov took aim at former UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria, noting his rival's connection to Rzepecki through sparring. Speaking through a translator, Zaynukov pledged his allegiance to the Nurmagomedov camp and expressed willingness to face anyone on the roster.
