Usman Nurmagomedov bought one of Petr Yan's rarest possessions
Petr Yan revealed that Usman Nurmagomedov, the unbeaten PFL lightweight champion and most sought-after free agent in MMA, once purchased a rare limited-edition BMW X5 from him. The bantamweight champion disclosed the transaction during an interview with Kickdown, noting the car's exclusivity: only 250 were made worldwide in that specific color, with just 12 existing in Russia.
"Usman bought that car from me later," Yan said. Despite competing in different camps—Nurmagomedov's brother Umar fights in Yan's division—the two competitors share mutual respect. Yan is set to defend his UFC bantamweight title against Merab Davlishvili at UFC 333 in October in Abu Dhabi.
Meanwhile, Nurmagomedov remains at the center of a major free-agency battle. The PFL holds a 90-day exclusive negotiation window following his last bout, but Nurmagomedov has reportedly already turned down a $2 million per fight offer from the promotion. The UFC is heavily rumored to be pursuing the 22-0 lightweight, and a recent Instagram post from Nurmagomedov has fueled speculation of an imminent move to the Octagon.
