Uros Medic rips Ian Machado Garry for saying world would be better if ‘run by women’

Uros Medic fired back at welterweight title challenger Ian Machado Garry over recent comments, disagreeing sharply with the fighter's statements about women leading the world. Medic, who faces Daniel Rodriguez in Saturday's UFC Belgrade main event, responded after Garry told High Performance that the world would be better if run by women.

Garry attributed much of this sentiment to his wife's influence on him, stating that if women ruled the world, "it would all be simpler and easier." When asked to weigh in on Garry's upcoming title fight against Islam Makhachev at UFC 330 in Philadelphia, Medic turned the conversation toward Garry's controversial remarks.

"Just because his woman is running his world, it doesn't mean that women should run all the world, because men built the world," Medic told MMA Fighting. "They gave rights to women, and they maintain the safety and freedom of everybody. If he wants his world run by women, I have no problem with that. Just don't impose that bullshit on me."

Meanwhile, Medic is backing Makhachev in the title defense. The Khabib Nurmagomedov-trained champion is riding a 16-fight winning streak and has won four consecutive title defenses, most recently a dominant victory over Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 322 last November. "I think Islam Makhachev will finish Ian Garry in less than three rounds," Medic predicted. "Ian is lanky, the type of fighter that runs and tries to score points, and then gets a split decision somehow."
