Topuria, who is of Georgian descent but was raised in Spain, joined fans at a watch party where he celebrated with his son on his shoulder alongside other Spanish supporters. One detail stood out to observers: Topuria wore sunglasses indoors throughout the celebration, likely a consequence of the damage sustained in his fight with Gaethje. The former champion suffered significant facial injuries in the bout, including a cut, eye bruising, and facial fractures.
