Henry Cejudo wins split decision over Wanna Walton in Misfits Boxing debut

Henry Cejudo made his Misfits Boxing debut a winning one, earning a split decision over 20-year-old Javon "Wanna" Walton in a four-round bout headlined by the Miami card at the James L. Knight Center. The former two-division UFC champion was originally scheduled to face influencer boxer Deen the Great, but after his withdrawal, Walton—a professional boxer and star of the HBO series Euphoria—stepped in on short notice despite being 20 years younger than Cejudo and without professional boxing experience.
Walton came out aggressively, using his youth and length to keep Cejudo at range and force him to miss. However, Cejudo's Olympic wrestling pedigree translated into clean boxing fundamentals as he adjusted to his opponent's timing, bouncing in and out with speed and landing powerful hooks. All four rounds were competitive, but two judges favoured Cejudo 3–1, while one dissenting judge scored three rounds for Walton. After the bout, Cejudo acknowledged the closeness of the contest and offered Walton a rematch with a full training camp out of respect. He also took the opportunity to call out Deen the Great for pulling out, accusing him of ducking the fight.
